Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 93.20 crore on Friday, 12 April 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 164.50 crore during two trading sessions on Wednesday, 10 April 2013 and Thursday, 11 April 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 93.20 crore on Friday, 12 April 2013, was a result of gross purchases Rs 2907.70 crore and gross sales Rs 2814. 50 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 47.70 crore into the secondary equity markets on Friday, 12 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 2858.90 crore and gross sales Rs 2811.20 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had shed 299.64 points or 1.62% to settle at 18,242.56 on that day, its lowest closing level since 9 April 2013.
There was a net inflow of Rs 45.50 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Friday, 12 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 48.80 crore and gross sales Rs 3.30 crore.
FIIs have bought shares worth Rs 51.20 crore in April 2013 so far (till 12 April 2013). FIIs had purchased shares worth Rs 9124.30 crore in March 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth net Rs 55673.50 crore in 2013 so far (till 12 April 2013). FIIs bought shares worth net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
