Net inflow of Rs 76.30 crore on 13 August 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 76.30 crore on Tuesday, 13 August 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 415.70 crore on Monday, 12 August 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 76.30 crore on Tuesday, 13 August 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3399.80 crore and gross sales of Rs 3323.60 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 255.40 crore into the secondary equity markets on 13 August 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3399.80 crore and gross sales of Rs 3144.50 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had surged 282.86 points or 1.49% to settle at 19,229.84 on that day, its highest closing level since 1 August 2013.
There was an outflow of Rs 179.10 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 13 August 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 1306.50 crore in August 2013 so far (till 13 August 2013). FIIs sold shares worth net Rs 6086.10 crore in July 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 67398.90 crore in 2013 so far (till 13 August 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
