Net inflow of Rs 351.40 crore on 17 September 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth net Rs 351.40 crore on Tuesday, 17 September 2013, higher than net inflow of Rs 313.80 crore on Monday, 16 September 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 351.40 crore on Tuesday, 17 September 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2347.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 1996 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 347.70 crore into the secondary equity markets on 17 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2343.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 1995.90 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had advanced 61.56 points or 0.31% to settle at 19,804.03 on that day, its highest closing level since 11 September 2013.
There was a net inflow of Rs 3.70 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 17 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3.90 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.20 crore.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 6958.70 crore in September 2013 so far (till 17 September 2013). FIIs sold shares worth a net Rs 5922.50 crore in August 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 67128.40 crore in 2013 so far (till 17 September 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
