Net inflow of Rs 1001.60 crore on 21 October 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1001.60 crore on Monday, 21 October 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 1723.50 crore on Friday, 18 October 2013.

The net inflow of Rs 1001.60 crore on Monday, 21 October 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2835.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 1833.70 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1004.20 crore into the secondary equity markets on 21 October 2013 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2835.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 1831.20 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had advanced 11 points or 0.05% to settle at 20,893.89 on that day, its highest closing level since 9 November 2010.

There was an outflow of Rs 2.50 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Monday, 21 October 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 9671.90 crore in October 2013 so far (till 21 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13057.80 crore in September 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 82899.30 crore in 2013 so far (till 21 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
