Net inflow of Rs 657.50 crore on 28 October 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 657.50 crore on Monday, 28 October 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 700 crore on Friday, 25 October 2013.

The net inflow of Rs 657.50 crore on Monday, 28 October 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2322.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 1664.90 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 659.50 crore into the secondary equity markets on 28 October 2013 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2322.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 1663 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had shed 113.24 points or 0.55% to settle at 20,570.28 on that day, its lowest closing level since 17 October 2013.

There was an outflow of Rs 2 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Monday, 28 October 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 13466.70 crore in October 2013 so far (till 28 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13057.80 crore in September 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 86694.20 crore in 2013 so far (till 28 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
