Net inflow of Rs 238.70 crore on 12 December 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 238.70 crore on Thursday, 12 December 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 982.40 crore on Wednesday, 11 December 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 238.70 crore on Thursday, 12 December 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2874.70 crore and gross sales of Rs 2636 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 241.90 crore into the secondary equity markets on 12 December 2013 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2874.70 crore and gross sales of Rs 2632.80 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 245.80 points or 1.16% to settle at 20,925.61 on that day, its lowest closing level since 4 December 2013.
There was an outflow of Rs 3.20 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 12 December 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 8554.50 crore in this month so far (till 12 December 2013). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 8116.10 crore in November 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 105604.40 crore in 2013 so far (till 12 December 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
