Net inflow of Rs 1029.20 crore on 26 March 2014

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1029.20 crore on Wednesday, 26 March 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 1303.60 crore on Tuesday, 25 March 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 1029.20 crore on Wednesday, 26 March 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3959.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 2930 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1030.50 crore into the secondary equity market on Wednesday, 26 March 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3959.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 2928.70 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 40.09 points or 0.18% to settle at 22,095.30 on that day, a record closing high.

There was an outflow of Rs 1.30 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on Wednesday, 26 March 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 17819.70 crore in this month so far (till 26 March 2014). FIIs bought shares worth net Rs 1404.30 crore in February 2014.

FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 19938.30 crore in this calendar year so far (till 26 March 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.
