Net inflow of Rs 1059.20 crore on 9 April 2014
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1059.20 crore on Wednesday, 9 April 2014, higher than net inflow of Rs 740.30 crore on Monday, 7 April 2014. The stock market was closed on Tuesday, 8 April 2014, on account of Ram Navami.
The net inflow of Rs 1059.20 crore on Wednesday, 9 April 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5342.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 4283.40 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1060.90 crore into the secondary equity market on Wednesday, 9 April 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5342.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 4281.70 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had galloped 358.89 points or 1.61% to settle at 22,702.34 on that day, a record closing high.
There was an outflow of Rs 1.70 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on Wednesday, 9 April 2014.
FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 6941.90 crore in April 2014 so far (till 9 April 2014). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 20077.20 crore in March 2014.
FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 29137.70 crore in this calendar year so far (till 9 April 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.
