Net inflow of Rs 236.10 crore on 8 October 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth net Rs 236.10 crore on Tuesday, 8 October 2013, compared with net inflow of Rs 800.50 crore on Monday, 7 October 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 236.10 crore on Tuesday, 8 October 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2609.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 2373.40 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 237.40 crore into the secondary equity markets on 8 October 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2609.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 2372.20 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex advanced 88.51 points or 0.44% to settle at 19,983.61 on that day, its highest closing level since 20 September 2013.
There was a net outflow of Rs 1.20 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 8 October 2013, which was a result of zero gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 1.20 crore.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 2143.90 crore in October 2013 so far (till 8 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13057.80 crore in September 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 75371.30 crore in 2013 so far (till 8 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
