Outflow of Rs 122.70 crore on 5 April 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 122.70 crore on Friday, 5 April 2013, compared with outflow of Rs 248.10 crore on Thursday, 4 April 2013.
The net outflow of Rs 122.70 crore on Friday, 5 April 2013, was a result of gross purchases Rs 2034.90 crore and gross sales Rs 2157.60 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 138.70 crore from the secondary equity markets on Friday, 5 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 2018.40 crore and gross sales Rs 2157.10 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 59.47 points or 0.32% to settle at 18,450.23 on that day, its lowest closing level since 20 November 2012.
There was a net inflow of Rs 16 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Friday, 5 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 16.50 crore and gross sales Rs 0.50 crore.
FIIs have bought shares worth Rs 516.60 crore in April 2013 so far (till 5 April 2013). FIIs had purchased shares worth Rs 9124.30 crore in March 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth net Rs 56139 crore in 2013 so far (till 5 April 2013). FIIs bought shares worth net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
