Net inflow of Rs 31.20 crore on 24 September 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth net Rs 31.20 crore on Tuesday, 24 September 2013, compared with net outflow of Rs 25.90 crore on Monday, 23 September 2013.

The net inflow of Rs 31.20 crore on Tuesday, 24 September 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3152.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 3121.30 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 15.70 crore into the secondary equity markets on 24 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3136.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 3120.60 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had advanced 19.25 points or 0.10% to settle at 19,920.21 on that day, its highest closing level since 20 September 2013.

There was a net inflow of Rs 15.50 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 24 September 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 16.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.70 crore.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 12384.80 crore in September 2013 so far (till 24 September 2013). FIIs sold shares worth a net Rs 5922.50 crore in August 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 72554.40 crore in 2013 so far (till 24 September 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
