Net outflow of Rs 378.60 crore on 26 November 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 378.60 crore on Tuesday, 26 November 2013 compared with net inflow of Rs 833.90 crore on Monday, 25 November 2013.

The net outflow of Rs 378.60 crore on Tuesday, 26 November 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6298.70 crore and gross sales of Rs 6677.30 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 377.20 crore from the secondary equity markets on 26 November 2013 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6294.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 6671.50 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 180.06 points or 0.87% to settle at 20,425.02 on that day, its lowest closing level since 22 November 2013.

There was a net outflow of Rs 1.40 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 26 November 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4.40 crore and gross sales of Rs 5.80 crore.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 7999.40 crore in this month so far (till 26 November 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 15706.20 crore in October 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 96933.10 crore in 2013 so far (till 26 November 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
