Net outflow of Rs 823.90 crore on 11 June 2013

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 823.90 crore on Tuesday, 11 June 2013, compared with inflow of Rs 210.50 crore on Monday, 10 June 2013.

The net outflow of Rs 823.90 crore on Tuesday, 11 June 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2657.90 crore and gross sales of Rs 3481.80 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 874.60 crore from the secondary equity markets on 11 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2607.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 3481.70 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had tumbled 298.07 points or 1.53% to settle at 19,143 on that day, its lowest closing level since 18 April 2013.

There was a net inflow of Rs 50.70 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 11 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 50.80 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.10 crore.

FIIs have purchased shares worth Rs 138.90 crore in June 2013 so far (till 11 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth Rs 22168.60 crore in May 2013.

FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 83344 crore in 2013 so far (till 11 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
