Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1172.50 crore on Friday, 15 March 2013, higher than inflow of Rs 572.50 crore on Thursday, 14 March 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 1172.50 crore on Friday, 15 March 2013, was a result of gross purchases Rs 4455.10 crore and gross sales Rs 3282.60 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1172.80 crore into the secondary equity markets on Friday, 15 March 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 4454.90 crore and gross sales Rs 3282.10 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had shed 142.88 points or 0.73% to settle at 19,427.56 on that day, its lowest closing level since 13 March 2013.
There was a net outflow of Rs 0.30 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Friday, 15 March 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 0.10 crore and gross sales Rs 0.40 crore.
FIIs have bought shares worth Rs 6613.40 crore in March 2013 so far (till 15 March 2013). FIIs have bought shares worth Rs 24439.30 crore in February 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth net Rs 53111.60 crore in 2013 so far (till 15 March 2013). FIIs bought shares worth net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
