Net inflow of Rs 1781.90 crore on 31 October 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1781.90 crore on Thursday, 31 October 2013, higher than net inflow of Rs 1027.90 crore on Wednesday, 30 October 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 1781.90 crore on Thursday, 31 October 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5652.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 3870.70 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1961.20 crore into the secondary equity markets on 31 October 2013 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5652.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 3691.40 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 130.55 points or 0.62% to settle at 21,164.52 on that day, a record closing high.
There was an outflow of Rs 179.30 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 31 October 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 15706.20 crore in October 2013. FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13057.80 crore in September 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 90715.60 crore in 2013 so far (till 31 October 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
