Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 3375.20 crore during two trading sessions on Friday, 6 December 2013 and Monday, 9 December 2013.
The two-day net inflow of Rs 3375.20 crore during two trading sessions on Friday, 6 December 2013 and Monday, 9 December 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7969.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 4594.40 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 3395.80 crore into the secondary equity markets on 6 and 9 December 2013 which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7968.80 crore and gross sales of Rs 4573.10 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 20.60 crore from the category 'primary market others' during two trading sessions on Friday, 6 December 2013 and Monday, 9 December 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.70 crore and gross sales of Rs 21.30 crore.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 6902.60 crore in this month so far (till 9 December 2013). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 8116.10 crore in November 2013.
FIIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 103952.40 crore in 2013 so far (till 9 December 2013). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 128359.80 crore in calendar 2012.
There are a total of 1,744 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
