Net inflow of Rs 740.30 crore on 7 April 2014
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 740.30 crore on Monday, 7 April 2014, higher than net inflow of Rs 250.20 crore on Friday, 4 April 2014. The stock market was closed on Tuesday, 8 April 2014, on account of Ram Navami.
The net inflow of Rs 740.30 crore on Monday, 7 April 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3598.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 2858.40 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 739.90 crore into the secondary equity market on Monday, 7 April 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3598.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 2858.20 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 16.05 points or 0.07% to setttle at 22,343.45 on that day, its lowest closing level since 28 March 2014.
There was a net inflow of Rs 0.40 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on Monday, 7 April 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.20 crore.
FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 5882.70 crore in April 2014 so far (till 7 April 2014). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 20077.20 crore in March 2014.
FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 28078.40 crore in this calendar year so far (till 7 April 2014). FIIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.70 crore in 2013 calendar year.
There are a total of 1,713 foreign funds registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India.
