FMCG stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index falling 10.49 points or 0.09% at 11428.16 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd (down 5.74%), Sanwaria Consumer Ltd (down 4.89%),Mcleod Russel India Ltd (down 3.88%),Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd (down 3.32%),ADF Foods Ltd (down 3.15%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Future Consumer Ltd (down 3.11%), Heritage Foods Ltd (down 2.66%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd (down 2.62%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries Ltd (down 2.47%), and Associated Alcohols & Breweries Ltd (down 2.32%).
On the other hand, Venkys (India) Ltd (up 3.75%), Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd (up 2.74%), and Prataap Snacks Ltd (up 2.05%) moved up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 373.92 or 1% at 37905.9.
The Nifty 50 index was up 110.7 points or 0.99% at 11237.1.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 56.33 points or 0.44% at 12769.35.
