Net inflow of Rs 65.44 crore on 21 March 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 65.44 crore from the secondary equity markets on 21 March 2018, compared with net inflow of Rs 418.84 crore on 20 March 2018. On 21 March 2018, the Sensex gained 139.42 points or 0.42% to settle at 33,136.18, its highest closing level since 16 March 2018.
The net inflow of Rs 65.44 crore into the secondary equity markets on 21 March 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5559.79 crore and gross sales of Rs 5494.35 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 135.95 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 21 March 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1.16 crore and gross sales of Rs 137.11 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 4591.77 crore in March 2018 so far (till 21 March 2018). They offloaded stocks worth a net Rs 16809.04 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 3775.99 crore from the primary market & others' category in March 2018 so far (till 21 March 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 5771.94 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.
