Net inflow of Rs 993.97 crore on 10 July 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 993.97 crore on Thursday, 10 July 2014, higher than net inflow of Rs 824.59 crore on Wednesday, 9 July 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 993.97 crore on 10 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5860.42 crore and gross sales of Rs 4866.45 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 194.64 crore into the secondary equity market on 10 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5060.89 crore and gross sales of Rs 4866.25 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 72.06 points or 0.28% to settle at 25,372.75 on that day, its lowest closing level since 27 June 2014.
There was a net inflow of Rs 799.33 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 10 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 799.53 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.20 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 7505.44 crore in this month so far (till 10 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 67300.70 crore in this calendar year so far (till 10 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
