Net inflow of Rs 120.90 crore on 25 July 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 120.90 crore on Friday, 25 July 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 366.33 crore on Thursday, 24 July 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 120.90 crore on 25 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3737.83 crore and gross sales of Rs 3616.93 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 118.07 crore into the secondary equity market on 24 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3734.98 crore and gross sales of Rs 3616.91 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex lost 145.10 points or 0.55% to settle at 26,126.75 on that day, its lowest closing level since 22 July 2014.

There was a net inflow of Rs 2.83 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 25 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2.85 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.02 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 13286.85 crore in this month so far (till 25 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 73082 crore in this calendar year so far (till 25 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
