Net inflow of Rs 34.54 crore on 30 January 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 34.54 crore from the secondary equity markets on 30 January 2018, compared with net inflow of Rs 378.94 crore on 29 January 2018. On 30 January 2018, the Sensex lost 249.52 points or 0.69% to 36,033.73, its lowest closing level since 22 January 2018.

The net inflow of Rs 34.54 crore into the secondary equity markets on 30 January 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6178.15 crore and gross sales of Rs 6143.61 crore.

There was a net outflow of Rs 2.38 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 30 January 2018, which was a result of Rs 15.71 crore gross purchases and gross sales of Rs 18.09 crore.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 13635.44 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018 so far (till 30 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 3345.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 146.02 crore from the primary market & others' category in January 2018 so far (till 30 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 2537.66 crore into the primary market & others' category in December 2017.
