Net inflow of Rs 418.84 crore on 20 March 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 418.84 crore from the secondary equity markets on 20 March 2018, compared with net inflow of Rs 446.29 crore on 19 March 2018. On 20 March 2018, the Sensex rose 73.64 points or 0.22% to settle at 32,996.76, its highest closing level since 16 March 2018.

The net inflow of Rs 418.84 crore into the secondary equity markets on 20 March 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5110.72 crore and gross sales of Rs 4691.88 crore.

There was a net inflow of Rs 74.73 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 20 March 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 74.85 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.12 crore.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 4526.33 crore in March 2018 so far (till 20 March 2018). They offloaded stocks worth a net Rs 16809.04 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.

FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 3911.94 crore from the primary market & others' category in March 2018 so far (till 20 March 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 5771.94 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.
