Net outflow of Rs 949.62 crore on 16 November 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 949.62 crore yesterday, 16 November 2015, compared with net inflow of Rs 665.28 crore on Friday, 13 November 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 949.62 crore from the secondary equity markets on 16 November 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3369.68 crore and gross sales of Rs 4319.30 crore. On that day, the Sensex rose 149.57 points or 0.58% to settle at 25,760.10, its highest closing level since 11 November 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 2.32 crore from the category 'primary markets & others' on 16 November 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 12.63 crore and gross sales of Rs 10.31 crore.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 5600.37 crore into the secondary equity markets this month so far (till 16 November 2015). They have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 6358.77 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 1039.73 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 16 November 2015). They bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
