Net outflow of Rs 410.51 crore on 10 October 2017

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 410.51 crore into the secondary equity markets on 10 October 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 440.04 crore on 9 October 2017. On 10 October 2017, the Sensex had risen 77.52 points or 0.24% to settle at 31,924.41, its highest closing level since 21 September 2017.

The net outflow of Rs 410.51 crore on 10 October 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3599.29 crore and gross sales of Rs 4009.80 crore.

There was a net inflow of Rs 6.38 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 10 October 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 7.64 crore and gross sales of Rs 1.26 crore.

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 4981.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017 so far (till 10 October 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 19973.64 crore into the secondary equity markets in September 2017.

FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 3377.90 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 10 October 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
