Net outflow of Rs 271.62 crore on 21 November 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 271.62 crore into the secondary equity markets on 21 November 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 228.43 crore on 20 November 2017. On 21 November 2017, the Sensex advanced 118.45 points or 0.36% to settle at 33,478.35, its highest closing level since 6 November 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 271.62 crore on 21 November 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6044.72 crore and gross sales of Rs 6316.34 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 25.59 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 21 November 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 26.99 crore and gross sales of Rs 1.40 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 10929.03 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017 so far (till 21 November 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 4949.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 14338.93 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 21 November 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
