Net outflow of Rs 401.01 crore on 10 January 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 401.01 crore into the secondary equity markets on 10 January 2018, higher than net outflow of Rs 147.62 crore on 9 January 2018. On 10 January 2018, the Sensex had fallen 10.12 points or 0.03% to settle at 34,433.07, its lowest closing level since 8 January 2018.
The net outflow of Rs 401.01 crore from the secondary equity markets on 10 January 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3816.08 crore and gross sales of Rs 4217.09 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 9.35 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 10 January 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 9.41 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.06 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 2960.07 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018 so far (till 10 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 3345.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in December 2017.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 264.30 crore into the primary market & others' category in January 2018 so far (till 10 January 2018). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 2537.66 crore into the primary market & others' category in December 2017.
