Net outflow of Rs 633.07 crore on 15 March 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 633.07 crore into the secondary equity markets on 15 March 2018, compared with net outflow of Rs 240.57 crore on 14 March 2018. On 15 March 2018, the Sensex fell 150.20 points or 0.44% to settle at 33,685.54, its lowest closing level since 9 March 2018.

The net outflow of Rs 633.07 crore from the secondary equity markets on 15 March 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4309.58 crore and gross sales of Rs 4942.65 crore.

There was a net inflow of Rs 440.29 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 15 March 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 443.20 and gross sales of Rs 2.91 crore.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 3819.91 crore in March 2018 so far (till 15 March 2018). They offloaded stocks worth a net Rs 16809.04 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.

FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 2560.07 crore from the primary market & others' category in March 2018 so far (till 15 March 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 5771.94 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.
