Net outflow of Rs 81.69 crore on 3 May 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 81.69 crore from the secondary equity markets on 3 May 2018, as compared to net outflow of Rs 347.54 crore on 2 May 2018.

The net outflow of Rs 81.69 crore from the secondary equity markets on 3 May 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5692.45 crore and gross sales of Rs 5774.14 crore.

There was a net outflow of Rs 8.02 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 3 May 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1.71 crore and gross sales of Rs 9.73 crore.

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 6326.98 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 3 May 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 13435.77 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2018 so far (till 3 May 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 41485.09 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2017.
