Net inflow of Rs 113.02 crore on 28 July 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 113.02 crore on Monday, 28 July 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 120.90 crore on Friday, 25 July 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 113.02 crore on 28 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2921.34 crore and gross sales of Rs 2808.32 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 113.02 crore into the secondary equity market on 28 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2921.33 crore and gross sales of Rs 2808.31 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex lost 135.52 points or 0.52% to settle at 25,991.23 on that day, its lowest closing level since 21 July 2014.

There was a nil net inflow into the category 'primary market & others' on 28 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.01 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.01 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 13399.87 crore in this month so far (till 28 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 73195 crore in this calendar year so far (till 28 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
