Net inflow of Rs 738.76 crore on 27 November 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 738.76 crore on Thursday, 27 November 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 220.57 crore on Wednesday, 26 November 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 738.76 crore on 27 November 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5711.48 crore and gross sales of Rs 4972.72 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 567.82 crore in the secondary equity market on 27 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5540.06 crore and gross sales of Rs 4972.24 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex garnered 52.72 points or 0.19% to settle at 28,438.91, its highest closing level since 24 November 2014 on that day.

There was a net inflow of Rs 170.94 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 27 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 171.42 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.48 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 13753.29 crore in this month so far (till 27 November 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 12677.10 crore from the secondary markets in this month so far (till 27 November 2014). FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 1171.51 crore last month. They sold shares worth a net Rs 2010.97 crore from the secondary markets last month.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 96019.50 crore in this calendar year so far (till 27 November 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 86148.20 crore from the secondary equity markets in this year so far (till 27 November 2014).
