Net inflow of Rs 235.56 crore on 2 December 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 235.56 crore yesterday, 2 December 2015, compared with net outflow of Rs 144.05 crore on Tuesday, 1 December 2015.
The net inflow of Rs 235.56 crore into the secondary equity markets on 2 December 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3797.19 crore and gross sales of Rs 3561.63 crore. On that day, the Sensex had declined 51.56 points or 0.2% to settle at 26,117.85, its lowest closing level since 26 November 2015.
There was a net outflow of Rs 0.39 crore from the category 'primary markets & others' on 2 December 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.03 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.42 crore.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 839.35 crore into the secondary equity markets in this month so far (till 2 December 2015). They have sold shares worth a net Rs 8413.23 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 2612.48 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 2 December 2015). They bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
