Net outflow of Rs 543 crore on 14 July 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 543 crore on Monday, 14 July 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 1296.13 crore on Friday, 11 July 2014.
The net outflow of Rs 543 crore on 14 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3069.88 crore and gross sales of Rs 3612.88 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 549.32 crore from the secondary equity market on 14 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3015.83 crore and gross sales of Rs 3565.15 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had shed 17.37 points or 0.07% to settle at 25,006.98 on that day, its lowest closing level since 4 June 2014.
There was a net inflow of Rs 6.32 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 14 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 54.05 crore and gross sales of Rs 47.73 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 8258.57 crore in this month so far (till 14 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 68053.80 crore in this calendar year so far (till 14 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
