Net outflow of Rs 673 crore on 2 June 2015

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) offloaded stocks worth a net Rs 673 crore yesterday, 2 June 2015, as against their purchases of Rs 135.01 crore during the preceding trading session on 1 June 2015.

The net outflow of Rs 673 crore on 2 June 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4254.99 crore and gross sales of Rs 4927.99 crore. The entire outflow of FPIs on 2 June 2015 pertained to selling into the secondary equity markets. There was no FPI activity reported in the category 'primary market & others' on 2 June 2015.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 44195.60 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 2 June 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 32718.30 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 2 June 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 97055.90 crore in the calendar year 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.

FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 5768.48 crore in May 2015. They offloaded shares worth a net Rs 9149.27 crore into the secondary equity markets in May 2015.
