Net outflow of Rs 506.52 crore on 24 November 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 506.52 crore on Tuesday, 24 November 2015, higher than net outflow of Rs 27.53 crore on Monday, 23 November 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 506.52 crore from the secondary equity markets on 24 November 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3256.38 crore and gross sales of Rs 3762.90 crore. On that day, the Sensex fell 43.60 points or 0.17% to settle at 25,775.74, its lowest closing level since 18 November 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 4.91 crore from the category 'primary markets & others' on 24 November 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1.15 crore and gross sales of Rs 6.06 crore.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 7689.57 crore into the secondary equity markets this month so far (till 24 November 2015). They have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 6358.77 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 1049.47 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 24 November 2015). They bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
