Net outflow of Rs 144.05 crore on 1 December 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 144.05 crore yesterday, 1 December 2015, compared with net outflow of Rs 930.86 crore on Monday, 30 November 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 144.05 crore from the secondary equity markets on 1 December 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5755.06 crore and gross sales of Rs 5899.11 crore. On that day, the Sensex had risen 23.74 points or 0.09% to settle at 26,169.41, its highest closing level since 6 November 2015.
There was a net outflow of Rs 1.30 crore from the category 'primary markets & others' on 1 December 2015.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 8413.23 crore into the secondary equity markets in November 2015. They have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 6358.77 crore from the secondary equity markets in October 2015.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 2848.70 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 1 December 2015). They bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
