Net outflow of Rs 707.28 crore on 9 November 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 707.28 crore into the secondary equity markets on 9 November 2017, compared with net inflow of Rs 5786.16 crore on 8 November 2017. On 9 November 2017, the Sensex had risen 32.12 points or 0.10% to settle at 33,250.93, its highest closing level since 7 November 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 707.28 crore on 9 November 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5637.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 5637.50 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 40.04 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 9 November 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 85.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 45.06 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 8772.29 crore from the secondary equity markets in November 2017 so far (till 9 November 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 4949.02 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 12182.19 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 9 November 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
