Net inflow of Rs 67.49 crore on 17 June 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 67.49 crore on Tuesday, 17 June 2014, compared with net outflow of Rs 143.06 crore on Monday, 16 June 2014.

The net inflow of Rs 67.49 crore on Tuesday, 17 June 2014, was a result of gross purchases Rs 4645 crore and gross sales of Rs 4577.51 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 66.78 crore into the secondary equity market on 17 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4644.29 crore and gross sales of Rs 4577.51 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 330.71 points or 1.31% to settle at 25,521.71 on that day, its highest closing level since 12 June 2014.

There was an inflow of Rs 0.71 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 17 June 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 14027.35 crore in this month so far (till 17 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth Rs 14006.15 crore in May 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 59831.70 crore in this calendar year so far (till 17 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.90 crore in 2013 calendar year.
