Net outflow of Rs 646.57 crore on 19 April 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 646.57 crore into the secondary equity markets on 19 April 2018, as compared to net outflow of Rs 875.95 crore on 18 April 2018. On 19 April 2018, the Sensex rose 95.61 points or 0.28% to settle at 34,427.29, its highest closing level since 26 February 2018.
The net outflow of Rs 646.57 crore from the secondary equity markets on 19 April 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4857.16 crore and gross sales of Rs 5503.73 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 6717.28 crore into the secondary equity markets in April 2018 so far (till 19 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 6685.63 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 2536.16 crore from the primary market & others' category in April 2018 so far (till 19 April 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 4968.66 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 3590.75 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 19 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 13422.48 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2018 so far (till 19 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 41485.09 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2017.
