Net outflow of Rs 307.42 crore on 19 November 2015

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 307.42 crore yesterday, 19 November 2015, compared with net outflow of Rs 720.77 crore on Wednesday, 18 November 2015.

The net outflow of Rs 307.42 crore into the secondary equity markets on 19 November 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3484.43 crore and gross sales of Rs 3791.85 crore. On that day, the Sensex rose 359.40 points or 1.41% to settle at 25,841.92, its highest closing level since 17 November 2015.

There was a nil net activity in the category 'primary markets & others' on 18 November 2015.

FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 7059.81 crore into the secondary equity markets this month so far (till 19 November 2015). They have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 6358.77 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.

FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 419.71 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 19 November 2015). They bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
