Net outflow of Rs 1605.06 crore on 13 October 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 1605.06 crore into the secondary equity markets on 13 October 2017, higher than net outflow of Rs 568.59 crore on 12 October 2017. On 13 October 2017, the Sensex rose 250.47 points or 0.78% to settle at 32,432.69, its highest closing level since 2 August 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 1605.06 crore on 13 October 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5455.42 crore and gross sales of Rs 7060.48 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 49.96 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 13 October 2017, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 49.96 crore and zero gross sales.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 7171.71 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017 so far (till 13 October 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 19973.64 crore into the secondary equity markets in September 2017.
FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 1187.21 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 13 October 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
