Net outflow of Rs 0.56 crore on 15 July 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 0.56 crore on Tuesday, 15 July 2014, compared with net outflow of Rs 543 crore on Monday, 14 July 2014.

The net outflow of Rs 0.56 crore on 15 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3024.89 crore and gross sales of Rs 3025.45 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 3.27 crore from the secondary equity market on 15 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3021.87 crore and gross sales of Rs 3025.14 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had garnered 221.67 points or 0.89% to settle at 25,228.65 on that day, its highest closing level since 10 July 2014.

There was a net inflow of Rs 2.71 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 15 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3.02 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.31 crore.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 8258.01 crore in this month so far (till 15 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 68053.20 crore in this calendar year so far (till 15 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
