Net inflow of Rs 724.37 crore on 25 June 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 724.37 crore on Wednesday, 25 June 2014, higher than net inflow of Rs 37.43 crore on Tuesday, 24 June 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 724.37 crore on Wednesday, 25 June 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3740.54 crore and gross sales of Rs 3016.17 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 724.63 crore into the secondary equity market on 25 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3739.94 crore and gross sales of Rs 3015.31 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had shed 55.16 points or 0.22% to settle at 25,313.74 on that day, its lowest closing level since 23 June 2014.
There was a net outflow of Rs 0.26 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 25 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.60 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.86 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 14285.82 crore in this month so far (till 25 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth Rs 14006.15 crore in May 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 60090.20 crore in this calendar year so far (till 25 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.90 crore in 2013 calendar year.
