Net inflow of Rs 824.59 crore on 9 July 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 824.59 crore on Wednesday, 9 July 2014, higher than net inflow of Rs 483.85 crore on Tuesday, 8 July 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 824.59 crore on 9 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4556.42 crore and gross sales of Rs 3731.83 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 689.46 crore into the secondary equity market on 9 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4421.27 crore and gross sales of Rs 3731.81 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 137.30 points or 0.54% to settle at 25,444.81 on that day, its lowest closing level since 30 June 2014.
There was a net inflow of Rs 135.13 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 9 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 135.15 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.02 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 6511.47 crore in this month so far (till 9 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 66306.70 crore in this calendar year so far (till 9 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
