Net inflow of Rs 119.82 crore on 22 March 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 119.82 crore from the secondary equity markets on 22 March 2018, compared with net inflow of Rs 65.44 crore on 21 March 2018. On 22 March 2018, the Sensex fell 129.91 points or 0.39% to settle at 33,006.27, its lowest closing level since 20 March 2018.
The net inflow of Rs 119.82 crore from the secondary equity markets on 22 March 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5228.72 crore and gross sales of Rs 5108.90 crore.
There was a net outflow of Rs 47.56 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 22 March 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1.62 crore and gross sales of Rs 49.18 crore.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 4711.59 crore in March 2018 so far (till 22 March 2018). They offloaded stocks worth a net Rs 16809.04 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 3728.43 crore from the primary market & others' category in March 2018 so far (till 22 March 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 5771.94 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.
