Net outflow of Rs 1235.30 crore on 14 September 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 1235.30 crore into the secondary equity markets on 14 September 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 762.42 crore on 13 September 2017. On 14 September 2017, the Sensex had risen 55.52 points or 0.17% to settle at 32,241.93, its highest closing level since 7 August 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 1235.30 crore on 14 September 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3716.46 crore and gross sales of Rs 4951.76 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 304.01 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 14 September 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 304.23 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.22 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 6896.82 crore into the secondary equity markets in September 2017 so far (till 14 September 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 15935.61 crore into the secondary equity markets in August 2017.
FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 21435.74 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 14 September 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
