Net outflow of Rs 1191.49 crore on 24 October 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 1191.49 crore into the secondary equity markets yesterday, 24 October 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 79.72 crore on 23 October 2017. On 23 October 2017, the Sensex rose 116.76 points or 0.36% to settle at 32,506.72, its highest closing level since 18 October 2017.
The net outflow of Rs 1191.49 crore on 24 October 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4039.94 crore and gross sales of Rs 5231.43 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 9861.75 crore into the secondary equity markets in October 2017 so far (till 24 October 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 19973.64 crore into the secondary equity markets in September 2017.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 1502.83 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 24 October 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 4475.81 crore from the primary market & others' category in October 2017 so far (till 24 October 2017). They had bought stocks worth a net Rs 8581.37 crore from the primary market & others' category in September 2017.
