Net inflow of Rs 321.22 crore on 25 July 2017

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 321.22 crore from the secondary equity markets on 25 July 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 271.36 crore on 24 July 2017. On that day, the Sensex fell 17.60 points or 0.05% to settle at 32,228.27, its lowest closing level since 21 July 2017.

The net inflow of Rs 321.22 crore on 26 July 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5635.52 crore and gross sales of Rs 5314.30 crore.

There was a net outflow of Rs 0.09 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 25 July 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1.09 crore and gross sales of Rs 1.18 crore.

FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 1957.97 crore from the secondary equity markets in July 2017 so far (till 25 July 2017). They had purchased stocks worth a net Rs 906.13 crore from the secondary equity markets in June 2017.

FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 40513.49 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 25 July 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
