Net inflow of Rs 1117.78 crore on 15 September 2017
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought stocks worth a net Rs 1117.78 crore from the secondary equity markets on 15 September 2017, compared with net outflow of Rs 1235.30 crore on 14 September 2017. On 15 September 2017, the Sensex rose 30.68 points or 0.1% to settle at 32,272.61, its highest closing level since 7 August 2017.
The net inflow of Rs 1117.78 crore on 15 September 2017 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 11782.59 crore and gross sales of Rs 10664.81 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 67.22 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 15 September 2017, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 68.14 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.92 crore.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 5779.04 crore into the secondary equity markets in September 2017 so far (till 15 September 2017). They had sold stocks worth a net Rs 15935.61 crore into the secondary equity markets in August 2017.
FPIs have purchased shares worth a net Rs 22553.52 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2017 so far (till 15 September 2017). They had purchased shares worth a net Rs 12094.42 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2016.
