FPIs turn net buyers

Net inflow of Rs 435.79 crore on 11 April 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) purchased stocks worth a net Rs 435.79 crore from the secondary equity markets on 11 April 2018, as compared to net outflow of Rs 718.61 crore on 10 April 2018. On 11 April 2018, the Sensex rose 60.19 points or 0.18% to settle at 33,940.44, its highest closing level since 1 March 2018.

The net inflow of Rs 435.79 crore into the secondary equity markets on 11 April 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4816.31 crore and gross sales of Rs 4380.52 crore.

There was a net inflow of Rs 8.18 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 11 April 2018.

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 3821.46 crore into the secondary equity markets in April 2018 so far (till 11 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 6685.63 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.

FPIs have purchased stocks worth a net Rs 2267.37 crore from the primary market & others' category in April 2018 so far (till 11 April 2018). They purchased stocks worth a net Rs 4968.66 crore from the primary market & others' category last month.

FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 694.93 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 11 April 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.
